First etika school due to launch March 2020

Green Lane C of E School, Barnard Castle, becomes the first etika school.

We were delighted to announce in October 2019 that Green Lane C of E School signed up to be the first etika school in the UK. We’ve had the school badge samples approved and are now in the midst of manufacturing to ensure the full uniform range is available to purchase online from the end of March this year.

Kim Hall, Business Manager at Green Lane, told us “we’re passionate about our Christian values & when the pupils & staff heard etika’s ethical promise we couldn’t ignore it & knew we had to be a part of this journey. We all wanted to work with a company like etika, a company that provides high quality uniforms and clothing sourced through an ethical supply chain. We also loved the fact that they’re doing their bit to reduce single use plastic by removing this from their packaging.”

Spreading the Cost of Uniforms

We are currently researching an easy payment scheme allowing regular or one-off monthly payments which can then be drawn down against the cost of uniforms as & when required, alleviating that pressure of having to pay for school uniform all in one go.

Get Your School On Board with etika

  • 3% from uniform sales donated back to your school
  • Opportunities for pupils to participate in ‘wear the change’ workshops
  • Quality, durable ethically sourced school uniforms.

etika Values

We are a member of SMETA, which sets guidelines & audits labour standards, health & safety, environment and business ethics

We only use organic softeners, clean & reuse water in our fruit & flower factory gardens and use fabric packaging to reduce the use of plastic

3% of sales are donated directly to UK schools to be used at the school’s discretion. We offer ‘wear the change’ workshops for pupils, staff and parent/carers

etici Colourful Clothing for Kids is Live!

Our range of ethically sourced colourful clothing is now available to buy online.

The etici range, colourful ethically sourced clothing for kids, launched back in November 2019 and is already getting some great feedback.

Produced at the same factory as our uniforms and made from 100% cotton, the range is perfect for kids on the go that need durable but comfortable day to day items such as hoodies & t-shirts.

We hold stock here in the UK, so delivery is literally a couple of days away once your order is placed.

Plus, 3% of any sale is donated back to the community from which our employees at our manufacturing site in India come from, to create better living conditions and an improved standard of life for their families and children.

We also donate school uniforms to those under privileged children in those communities who otherwise would be overlooked.

etika is on a mission

Our mission is to offer every child in the UK the opportunity to wear an ethically sourced school uniform, which ‘gives back’ to UK schools in terms of finance and education and to communities in India to improve their standards of living.

When you buy from etika or etici, you are helping us make a change in the world that we are looking to drive within our industry and throughout the whole world; benefitting those who have less and impacting positively on our planet.

Support us in our mission at www.etikauniforms.co.uk and www.etici.co.uk.
